You may be eligible if you are 18 or over, live in Australia, and have an ongoing health condition or symptoms that haven’t been well managed by other treatments.

During your consultation, your doctor will talk through:

• The condition or symptoms you’re seeking help with, and how long you’ve had them
• Treatments you’ve already tried and how well they worked
• Your medical history, including any mental health history
• Any medicines or supplements you currently take
• Whether you’re pregnant, breastfeeding or planning a pregnancy
• Lifestyle factors such as driving or operating machinery for work

This helps your doctor decide whether Alternative Natural Medicine is safe and suitable for you. Please complete your medical history form before the appointment so your doctor has everything they need.

Treatment may not be suitable if you are under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, or have a personal or family history of certain mental health conditions such as psychosis. Some medicines can also interact.

All our appointments are conducted via phone. We offer appointments 7 days a week including evenings and weekends providing you with flexibility. Our Telehealth consultations are available for residents of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, and anywhere in Australia.

Generally, no. You don’t need a GP referral to see a Leaf Doctors doctor. Just complete the eligibility quiz and book. In some cases your doctor may ask for supporting information, such as a letter from your GP or specialist, and will let you know if that’s needed.

Your initial consultation takes about 10 minutes. Your doctor will go through your health history, discuss whether treatment is suitable, and outline your options and costs. Please complete our medical history form before your appointment. Follow-up consultations are usually shorter and focus on how your treatment is going and any adjustments you need.

Regular follow-ups are an important part of your care. They let your doctor check your progress, adjust your dose or product, and renew your prescription. Follow-ups are always $0.

Nothing. Every Leaf Doctors consultation is $0, including your initial consultation and all your follow-ups. You’ll never pay a consultation fee with us, and you’re never obligated to go ahead with treatment. Book your free consult.

Most products range from $90 to $150. We have lots of options available in different forms and strengths, so the cost depends on what suits you.

Your doctor will talk you through the options and outline all costs during your consultation, before any prescription is issued.

We believe quality healthcare should be accessible to everyone. We offer concession pricing options to help eligible patients access the care and treatment they need at a more affordable cost.
If you hold a valid concession card, speak with our Patient Care Team to learn more about available options and whether you may be eligible.

We offer a variety of flexible payment options to make things as easy as possible for you. You can pay using a credit or debit card, choose Afterpay, or pay in person at one of our partner pharmacies.

If you’d like to increase or decrease your prescription amount, you’ll need to book a follow-up consultation with one of our doctors. They’ll be able to review your current prescriptions and discuss any changes that may be suitable for you.

If you’d like to discuss continuing with your preferred brand or strain, please reach out to our friendly Patient Care Team before your appointment. They can help ensure your preferences are noted and provide guidance ahead of your consultation.
Our doctors will review your treatment history and work with you to determine the most appropriate ongoing care plan.

We understand that your treatment needs may change over time. If you’d like to pause or stop your treatment with Leaf Doctors, you’re welcome to do so at any time. Simply reach out to our friendly Patient Care Team on 1300 159 140, and they’ll be happy to assist with placing your account on pause or arranging a discharge letter if you decide to cease treatment.

Your prescription is valid for 6 months from the date it was written. You’ll need to schedule a follow-up consultation to renew your prescription. Contact your prescribing doctor or book through your patient portal.

Once your order is placed in the patient portal, you can choose how to receive it:

• Express delivery Australia-wide with StarTrack, in discreet, unmarked packaging
• Same-day delivery in eligible Sydney and Brisbane postcodes
• Pickup from our Newtown (NSW) or Strathpine (QLD) locations

Most orders arrive within 1–3 business days with StarTrack Express. Delivery to some regional and remote areas may take a little longer. You’ll receive tracking details once your order has been dispatched.

Just select pickup at checkout and bring photo ID when you collect. We’ll let you know when your order is ready.

If you wish to transfer your treatment or request the release of your prescription to another clinic or pharmacy, please speak with our Patient Care Team. Requests are considered on a case-by-case basis, and we may request payment of $99 to cover the administration costs associated with transferring your treatment.
Please note that Leaf Doctors reserves the right to decline transfer or prescription release requests where the treating doctor or clinic determines your case is clinically complex or requires closer monitoring to ensure safe, appropriate, and compliant prescribing and dispensing.

Your doctor will recommend how often to check in, usually before your prescription runs out or whenever your needs change. Regular follow-ups let your doctor review your progress and adjust your treatment. They’re always $0 and you can book them any time in your patient portal.

With the Leaf Doctors patient portal, managing your treatment is simple. Easily reorder your medication, stay connected with your doctor, and schedule regular follow-up consultations to ensure your treatment plan continues to support your goals and provide the relief you’re seeking.

Store your medication in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and out of reach of children and pets. For specific storage instructions, refer to the product label.

It is recommended to start slow, with a low dose and slowly increase to balance symptoms and potential side effects. Reach out if you have questions regarding your dosage, if you are experiencing side effects, or if your symptoms are not adequately managed.

Cannabis can cause drowsiness, dizziness, slower reaction times, and poor concentration. Some people may experience anxiety, mood changes, paranoia, or hallucinations at higher doses. Tell your doctor if you are experiencing any of these symptoms.

Cannabis may interact with common medicines, including blood thinners, antidepressants, anti-seizure medications, opioids, and sedatives. Always let your doctor and pharmacist know about all other medicines or supplements you are taking.

Cannabis should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. It may affect the growth and development of your baby. Please speak to your doctor about contraception.

THC-containing products may lead to tolerance, dependence, and withdrawal if used regularly. Medical cannabis is not generally recommended as a long-term therapy. Your treatment should be regularly reviewed with your doctor to check safety, benefit, and the need for ongoing use. Your doctors can also find ways to reduce your dosages by exploring different treatment options.

Yes. Alternative Natural Medicine has been legal in Australia with a doctor’s prescription since 2016. Authorised prescribers can prescribe Schedule 4 and Schedule 8 products, and your medication is legal to use and carry when it has been prescribed to you.

Keep your prescription or pharmacy label with your medication, and remember it’s for your use only. It can’t be shared or sold.

Domestic travel within Australia is generally permitted, but international travel is highly restricted and often illegal. Always check local laws before travelling.

Do not drive or operate heavy machinery while taking products containing THC. In Australia, it is illegal to drive if THC is detected in your system, even if not impaired. THC can remain in your body for days to weeks.

Medical cannabis products in Australia have not been assessed by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for general use. They are supplied under special access pathways as there is limited evidence for their safety and effectiveness.
