For general health information, patients can also refer to the Better Health Channel and health.vic.

The doctor must work within the Medical Board of Australia and TGA guidelines to ensure that patients are getting the appropriate care.
There are regulations around driving, operating machinery, and travel when it comes to alternative healthcare. It’s important that you discuss these during your consultation.
In Victoria, it is an offence to drive with certain prescribed substances present, even if your driving is not impaired. Your doctor will discuss this with you during the consultation. Victoria is now running a world-first driving trial, and the current rules are actively being reviewed in 2026. Victorian courts now also have some discretion in how these matters are handled for those who have a valid prescription – for current road rules, it’s always best to refer to Transport Victoria as the best source of information.
